RM

Reza Mahmod

Head of Product, Petaling Jaya

We brought in Auctara for a half-day workshop after realising our product team had very different instincts about what we could and could not do with third-party content. The facilitated format worked well — the discussion surfaced things we had not previously put into words. The written memo afterwards was a genuinely useful document, not just a summary of slides.

Siti Wahidah

Marketing Manager, Kuala Lumpur

I completed the online foundations programme to get a clearer picture of what we own, what we licence, and where the two get confused in day-to-day creative work. The self-check questions were helpful — they pushed me to think rather than just read. I would have liked slightly more examples from the creative industry specifically, but the overall content was well-paced and clear.

Operations Director, Shah Alam

We engaged Auctara for the full programme design consulting. The scoping process was thorough — they asked the right questions about what our teams actually do, not just what we thought was relevant. The facilitator's guide they produced is something we have been running ourselves for four months now. It is holding up well with our internal trainers.

Nur Izzati Hamdan

Procurement Lead, Cyberjaya

Vendor and supplier agreements come across my desk constantly and IP clauses kept appearing in places I was not sure how to read. The foundations programme gave me enough vocabulary to ask better questions — of the agreement, and of our legal team. That was exactly what I was looking for.

Jonathan Loh

CEO, Technology Firm, KL Sentral

We are a software company and IP is genuinely central to what we do — but awareness had always been ad hoc. The workshop was a useful way to get the whole leadership team aligned on where we had good habits and where we were less consistent. The memo gave us a concrete list to work through with our advisors. Practically useful.

Faridah Abdul Aziz

HR & L&D Manager, Selangor

From an L&D perspective, the programme design engagement addressed something that most external providers do not: they handed us the tools to run the programme ourselves. The calendar and facilitator's guide integrate into our existing induction and annual training cycles without requiring us to keep engaging externally. That independence was important to us.

Engagement Journeys

Case Study · 01 · Manufacturing, Selangor

The Situation

A mid-sized manufacturer with active product development and a growing marketing function had no shared internal language around IP. Teams used third-party images, adapted competitor references, and commissioned design work without consistent documentation practices. Leadership wanted to build awareness before any specific issue required attention.

The Engagement

The in-house workshop was conducted with a cross-functional group of fourteen people including product, marketing, and procurement staff. Structured discussion surfaced three recurring areas of uncertainty. The summary memo highlighted these areas, framed them as questions for the team's advisors, and set out the internal habits the group agreed to adopt.

What Followed

The organisation used the memo in a subsequent conversation with their legal advisors and clarified their commissioning documentation as a result. Six months on, the team had introduced a simple internal checklist at the brief stage of new content projects. The client later enrolled three individual staff members in the online foundations programme.

Case Study · 02 · Professional Services, KL

The Situation

A professional services firm with around eighty staff had a legal team but no awareness programme for the general workforce. Consultants were regularly producing reports, presentations, and research materials under client agreements, and IP ownership questions occasionally arose without a clear internal framework for addressing them.

The Engagement

The organisation engaged Auctara for the full programme design consulting. Scoping interviews were held with the legal team, a senior consultant, and the operations lead. Content was mapped to the firm's specific output types and client relationship structures. The resulting programme blueprint included a calendar of six touchpoints across the year and a complete facilitator's guide.

What Followed

Internal trainers began delivering the programme in the following quarter. After the first two cycles, the firm reported that conversations between consultants and the legal team had become more specific — staff were arriving with better-formed questions rather than broad uncertainty. The programme continues to run on the annual calendar.

Case Study · 03 · Creative Industry, KL

The Situation

A small creative agency had recently brought on several junior staff and was onboarding more frequently. The founders wanted to ensure all team members had a basic working familiarity with IP concepts before handling client work — particularly around attribution, content licensing, and the use of stock assets.

The Engagement

Three staff members enrolled in the foundations programme as part of their onboarding. The agency later incorporated it as a standard step in their induction process. Two senior team members subsequently completed the programme as well, finding it useful as a reference for explaining IP concepts to clients in plain terms.

What Followed

The programme became part of the agency's standard induction, with each new team member completing it before working on client projects. The downloadable summary cards have been kept at desks by several staff members as day-to-day references. A total of nine staff members across two years have now completed the programme.
